Alix’s unfolding has been a story of leaps of faith, powerful evolution and shifts, and a deepening into love of the mystery and all it unveils. Alix graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2012 with a B.A in English and a minor in Psychology with the hopes of becoming an English Professor. Her English teachers had always guided and inspired her throughout the difficult moments in her life, and she wanted to give back in a similar way.
During her years of study she fell in love with Transcendental writers like Whitman, Thoreau and Emerson, all of whom helped her initially connect more deeply with nature and the Divine. She found such guidance, depth and spiritual understanding through the books she read, and her studies woke up a greater yearning in her soul to dive deeper into the mysteries of life and to be of service to those who desired the same.
Though as life would have it, six months after graduating (while
reading ‘On The Road’ by Jack Kerouac), Alix realized she wanted to first experience life like her literary idols before she began to teach about them. Within a few months time she sold everything she had, got in her car and left Connecticut to travel the country and eventually land at a Yoga Ashram in Northern California. She didn’t realize it at the time, but this was her first major leap of Faith into the unknown, a calling from a Greater Force that she didn’t yet understand. This call was beckoning Alix towards her true Dharma in this life. Thank God she said Yes.
She lived and performed daily Seva (selfless service) at the Ashram for about 2 months. While there, she participated in 4 Day Silent Meditations, had access to all sorts of new literature on spirituality, Yoga, Vedanta, Vedic philosophy, Ayurveda and also had the privilege of receiving a Vedic Astrology chart reading. Up to that point, Alix had been a student and lover of Western Astrology and Tarot, and had never heard of Vedic Astrology. However, when she had her chart read through that lens, it resonated very deeply with her. This led her to begin studying Vedic Astrology, and in 2015 she became a level III, M.A, graduate from the American Academy of Vedic Art & Science, founded by Sam Geppi. Alix has been a fully flourishing Vedic Astrologer with ongoing clients ever since.
After leaving the Ashram in the Fall of 2013, Alix met a friend who invited her to sit in an earth-based Shamanic ritual with Nina Palmieri - an initiated Nagual woman, Master Educator, Ceremonial Leader and Wisdom Keeper. Always a lover of the sacred, and craving a deeper connection with the Divine, she attended the retreat and has never looked back.
Nina became her teacher and mentor after that ritual, and now 10 years later Alix has helped her to birth ‘A New Earth Movement’, a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a broad platform for the healing, activation, and initiation of humanity into our original blueprint. Alix works as the Director of Operations for ANEM, and works alongside Nina almost daily in serving the community, helping others on the path, participating in all classes and rituals offered by her teachers and working behind the scenes to keep everything moving forward with efficiency and integrity.
In 2021, Alix graduated from a two year Advanced Mentorship Program with Nina, where she studied and practiced even more deeply the art of mentoring oneself in order to successfully mentor another. This is something Alix has been passionate about all her life, and knows that we can only take someone as deep as we have taken ourselves. After over a decade on the healing path with her teachers, and a lifetime of navigating her own trials and tribulations, Alix has begun to Mentor others through whatever they are traversing. She now sees clients for Mentorship Sessions, and is an active Vedic Astrologer. She is also currently enrolled in Dr. David Frawley’s ‘Integral Vedic Counseling Course’ and continues her ongoing education with an inspired love of learning.
